Sold Out Again In 2008!
Pioneer Las Vegas Bowl XVII To Be Played In Front Of Full House
LAS VEGAS - Pioneer Las Vegas Bowl XVII is already a sellout, the game's executive director, Tina Kunzer-Murphy, announced December 5.
Late this week, the bowl sold out of its allotment of tickets available to the public for a fourth consecutive year. The Pioneer Las Vegas Bowl, which is owned and operated by ESPN Regional Television (ERT), will take place on Saturday, Dec. 20, beginning at 5 p.m. PT, and be broadcast nationally on ESPN and ESPN HD.
Last year, Pioneer Las Vegas Bowl XVI attracted 40,712 fans to Sam Boyd Stadium, which was the second-largest crowd in the event's history and marked the game's third consecutive sellout.
This season's two participating teams will officially be announced on December 7 at 12 p.m. PT.
"The fact that every ticket to our game is sold for the fourth straight year is a testament to the fantastic support we receive from the community," Kunzer-Murphy said. "Fans and businesses already made sure to get their tickets for what will be another must-see event in Southern Nevada on December 20th."
