Mountain West Conference Commissioner Craig Thompson:
''It has been a real pleasure, speaking on behalf of the Mountain West Conference, to be involved for the eighth consecutive year with the Pioneer PureVision Las Vegas Bowl. We have enjoyed the great growth and been fortunate to see people in the stands that for the first time in the history of the bowl that it was sold out before the teams were even announced.''

''This is an intriguing matchup. There are a lot of wonderful storylines. Both teams involved in arch-rival opponent games that came down to the last play of the game to end their season.''

BYU Athletics Director Tom Holmoe:
''We are grateful to be invited to be the Mountain West Conference representative to the Pioneer PureVision Las Vegas Bowl. We were fortunate enough last year to also be the Mountain West representative and we had a great game against the University of California. It was a wonderful week.''

BYU Senior Linebacker Cameron Jensen:

I have watched them a couple times and also watched a lot of film and they are a well coached team and as a defensive player we know we have our hands full.''

University of Oregon Senior Associate Athletic Director Mike Marlow:
''We look forward to the opportunity to bring a little more green to Las Vegas starting on the 18th of December and for four-and-a-half days really fully integrating ourselves in the Las Vegas community.''
