Top Announcing Crews Assigned To MAACO Bowl Las Vegas

Fowler, Herbstreit and Rinaldi in the TV Booth, Cellni and Barnett for Radio

LAS VEGAS - The 20th edition of the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas will have a definite ESPN College GameDay flavor to it as the television announcing crew will be made up three regulars of the show -- Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Tom Rinaldi.

Fowler will call his first MAACO Bowl Las Vegas on Thursday as Boise State takes on Arizona State beginning at 5 p.m. PT. One of the most respected hosts and play-by-play commentators in television, he has anchored College GameDay, the network's Emmy-winning Saturday morning college football preview show, since 1990. He became the play-by-play voice of ESPN's Thursday College Football Primetime games in 2006 and has hosted ESPN's Heisman Trophy Presentation since the network began its coverage of the event in 1994 and ESPN's The Home Depot College Football Awards show since its inception in 1993.

Herbstreit, who also did last year's game with Brent Musburger, will add his analysis. Widely recognized as one of the best college football minds of his generation, former Ohio State quarterback Herbstreit has been an analyst on ESPN's College GameDay remote college football studio show since 1996, when he joined host Fowler and co-analyst Lee Corso. In addition, Herbstreit is the game analyst for the Saturday Night Football series on ABC, broadcast television's first weekly prime-time college football game, since the series debut in 2006.

Returning to the sidelines of Sam Boyd Stadium, Rinaldi is an ESPN correspondent based in the New York, contributing to SportsCenter, Outside the Lines, Outside the Lines Nightly, College GameDay and NFL Countdown. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, he also appears as a reporter, contributing features and interviews from many of ESPN's top event productions.

On the radio side, the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas will be broadcast live nationally via the Sports USA Radio Network as well as along with American Forces Network. Returning to Las Vegas is Rich Cellini, who will handle play-by-play duties, and former Colorado and Northwestern head coach Gary Barnett, who will add his analysis.
