CU's Liufau And CSU's Bibbs Named Players Of The Week
LAS VEGAS (Nov. 20, 2013) – The Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl continues its third season of conducting weekly Facebook player-of-the-week polls, driven by fan votes, recognizing exemplary on-field play within the two Bowl affiliated conferences, the Pac-12 and Mountain West.

Sefo Liufau, Freshman, Quarterback, Colorado (Tacoma, WA/Bellarmine Prep)
A first time winner, Liufau was 23-of-36 for 364 yards and three touchdowns in Colorado’s 41-24 win over California. It was his first multi-TD game of his career and the 364 yards rank as 16th most in a game in school history and the second most by a freshman. Two of his touchdown throws came in the second quarter and his third passing score came in the fourth quarter. He is the second Buffalo to earn the SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Pac-12 Player of the Week honor this season, as teammate Paul Richardson earned the honor in week 1.

Kapri Bibbs, Sophomore, Running Back, Colorado State (Plainfield, IL/Plainfield North HS/ Snow College/Front Range CC)
Bibbs picks up his second SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Mountain West Player of the Week honor in as many weeks after he ran for 291 yards on 38 carries and six touchdowns in Colorado State’s 66-42 win over New Mexico. It was the third-most rushing yard in CSU history and his six rushing scores set a school record and tied a Mountain West record. He also has scored at least three rushing TDs in five straight game and is one of four FBS running backs to rush for at least three scores in six games in a single season since 2000.
Each week, players from both the Pac-12 and Mountain West conferences will be selected for nomination and then posted for voting. All college football fans are welcome to cast their vote starting on Monday each week for Player of the Week at www.facebook.com/lvbowl.

Nominated players will be selected the Sunday after the week’s play and presented on the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl’s official fan page (http://www.facebook.com/lvbowl) Monday at noon with fan voting ending Wednesday at noon. Winners will be announced Wednesday afternoons. Two players, sans any ties, will be announced as their respective conference’s SEVEN Magazine Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Player of the Week.
