Thursday Night Lights
The Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl will once again be a part of Thursday Night Lights each week during this year's high school football season. Last season at each game, the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl tent played classic football movies like "Remember the Titans" as well as gave away prizes from t-shirts all the way to tablets. Be sure to keep an eye out for this year's schedule so you can stop by the tent! We are very excited to continue this partnership with Thursday Night Lights and are looking forward to another great season of high school football action.
Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Youth Football Clinic presented by Terrible Herbst
In 2014, the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl held the 6th annual Youth Football Clinic presented by Terrible Herbst. 500 youth football players participated in 2014 and we look for a similar turnout in 2015. Stay tuned for more information about the 2015 Youth Football Clinic as we look to continue working with UNLV Football and with their new Head Coach Tony Sanchez. Thank you for your support of this Youth Clinic and all of youth football throughout the Las Vegas community.
Goodie Two Shoes Foundation & Opportunity Village
Every year at the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl, players from both teams get a great opportunity to give back to the community. With the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, the players assist over 400 children with picking out new athletic shoes. CP Squires Elementary is one of the lowest income schools in the Las Vegas area and this event provides the opportunity of many of these children to pick out new shoes for the very first time.
Opportunity village is a non-profit organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities. They are dedicated to helping members of the community with intellectual disabilities become the best they can be through vocational training, community employment, day services, and the opportunity to unleash their creative passions. This is always a highlight for the teams that come to the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl as it continues to be a strong tradition during bowl week.
